Who: Alfred Crump, Kevey Coleman's co-worker
What he said: In 1989, Crump told the police that Coleman had told him he had seen two black men with a white woman walking on the street, and that one of the men had the woman under her arms. He also said that Coleman had reported hearing a scream when he reached his porch. "Mr. Crump also remembered Kevey stating something about one of the guys having plaits in his hair," the police report reads. No mention is made of contact lenses.
Outcome: Crump did not testify. Crump still lives in Winston-Salem; he said he did not remember much about the old police interviews.
