I remember the day of September 11th. I was in school when they brought a TV into our classroom telling us of the attacks. I'd never really seen the World Trade Center before. I had heard of it but never really paid attention to it. But after that day it seems that all that I could think about was those people, their families, and the entire city of New York. I had fear of more attacks to come months after. Then our president announced we were going to war to fight terrorism. I began to feel secure again as our troops headed to the Middle East. Security was heightened and people were more cautious around the entire U.S. which in a way it kept me hesitant of the idea of security. These attacks made me think How good of a job is our Government doing to protect us? And after the transition to the war on terror to the war in Iraq, I felt that feeling on insecurity, not paranoia but the idea still in the back of my mind of another attack. And now seeing the attacks daily in markets in the Middle East and the recent attacks in India on the Rail System makes me wonder how good of a job did we do in the war on terrorism? 9/11 made me in a way doubt my government. But you cant get rid of something like terrorism. It'll always be around. God Bless those lost on 9/11 and God Bless our troops.
