This is the first time I have submitted something to your paper. I was inspired to write this by a sermon given by pastor Allen Wright Sunday, July 2nd, 2006, at Reynolda Presbyterian Church. The lyrics are to the tune of The Battle Hymn of the Republic.

Chorus: Glory, glory, halleluiah! Glory, glory, halleluiah!
Glory, glory, halleluiah! His truth goes marching on!

From the towers of Manhattan to our troops on foreign shores,
We will fight to keep our freedoms from now on, forever more!
We won't bow to foreign tyrants or to those on our own shore
His truth goes marching on

In these days when terrorists threaten us and want to take our land
We must rise up as one people and each of us take a stand
To fight the foes of Liberty is our right and God's command
His truth goes marching on

If you try to take by terror what was never meant for you
There will be no rest in heaven since it's evil that you do
Why not fight for freeing all mankind not riches for a few?
His truth goes marching on

Call Him Allah or Jehovah, God is still the same for all
And He's choosing from all peoples to prepare His banquet hall
Come you loving brotherhood of nations, heed the trumpet call!
His truth goes marching on
